So we decided to take the KitFox out for the day, finally trying out the 165hp Edge Performance Engine and Comparing it to the South African Designed KFA Safari with the Rotax 915is Turbo.

I know I am late to the party but I think a good name would be South Fox. It may have been before your time and never made it to your TV but here in the US we had the TV show “Dallas”. The Ewing family lived on South Fork Ranch so South Fox flows nice in American English and works with you being in South Africa.

Hi Guys. Awesome post production and content! Please elaborate a little more on the nose below horizon and ball, in steep turns bit? Always keen to learn and that's something I must have missed in my own training. Not a tip I've heard before?

Keeping the ball in the middle at all times will keep the aircraft flyable even into a stall. It just get harder to keep it in the middle when the aircraft stalled. When I do steep turns during slow flight, keeping the nose just under the horizon insure that I am not losing speed. If the nose is higher than the horizon you will lose speed and stall. So I always make sure to check my nose during turns

Hi Luke! Thanks for the support 😁 Those are fuel sight gauges showing the fuel level in the wing tanks. A bit more accurate than digital instruments that need to be calibrated 😉

Thanks Shane! Riaan bought the KitFox before the prices became Crazy... And at the time (and still is) an insane performer for the price! Would absolutely go with the KitFox again, I don't know where you are based, but if you are based in Africa/ Germany I would look at the KFA Safari as well, it comes pretty close.

How much wider is the Safari cabin compared to the Kitfox ? In the Kitfox the passenger has moved the seat back to give more room. In the Safari you can see room between the pilot and passenger when seated side by side, .their shoulders are not touching. See times 8:00 and 9:24

The KitFox has a cabin width of about 43in and the Safari is about 47in. When sitting in the Safari it also "feels" like there's more space between the Pilot and instrument panel. The panel also sits higher up compared to the KitFox... Hope this answers some of your questions?

Me too... these planes can fly so slow 28kt... so if you can fly it to the ground... The problem is pilots get scared of the ground and stall and then spin the aircraft... that kills pilots, not engine outs. But yes, it would not be a fun day 😳🧐🔥

I think the Kit Fox is a nice aircraft but the prices have gotten to the point where the average guy can't afford to buy it......The KFA seems to be a bit less money and looks like a Kit Fox but the performance is not quite as good as Kit Fox!
