Dude was so good at being balanced and patient Like LeVeon but in the 2000s

As a then 12 year old UCLA fan who wanted to see his team win ONE more game to be able to play for a national championship, I'll NEVER forget this game and performance from Edge.

I'm convinced this game got him drafted ahead of Ricky Williams

I totally forgot UCLA had a 17 pt lead going into the 4th.

Ridiculous performance. Portis was great, McGahee was a monster in ‘02, Gore was special as a freshman and Duke was amazing too. There have been some great Miami RBs over the years but Edge is probably still the standard. Vision, balance, power, toughness, blocking, catching, acceleration and good long speed. He had it all.

I agree. But I’ll also say that McGahee was right there next to Edge as far as greatest Hurricane running backs ever. If he didn’t have that devastating knee injury in the national championship game against Ohio State, I think he very well might have made the pro football Hall of Fame.

@@Riles3152 I won’t argue. McGahee was a special back in his own right. Agreed with on the HoF point too. He was still very good in the pros and had some great years. That 1000 yard season with Denver was arguably the most impressive considering his age, injuries and the mileage. One of McGahee’s best attributes no one talks about was his pass pro too. Like Portis, he threw his whole body into blocks.
