the tie down part is really the key for me. Like if I don't tie down, its a wash

i find my edges lay best when I put a tiny tiny bit of water on them first, then add my eco styler gel, then my hair toothbrush to shape them, and then tie a scarf over my head for 20 minutes. My edges stay flat literally all day when I do that. lol

starrann08 have you tied it down at all? Or just use the eco styler and brush? It's water based, so I find if there's any water in the area, I.E. I'm running the sink, they'll curl up from the water in the air, unless I tie it down to dry. Also, it works better if you have a touch of water or oil on it before hand.

People are so dramatic. Laying your edges JUST became popular for everyone, my mom was laying down my edges when I was 7 so it's nothing new and nothing wrong with it! it just makes the hairstyle look more polished and neat

That's the gel I've been using for years. My hair loves it,plus no flakes. It keeps my mini 2 strand twists soft and in place. I usually don't bother with my edges unless I'm having an updo style,or something straight back from my face,but I'll give it a try.

what i do with eco gel is i let it sit there, lid off for a couple days and it gets thicker in consistency and lays my baby hairs down nicely... if i don't do this the gel just makes my edges super curly....

Cuuuute! This style looks perfect. And THANK YOU for not featuring an edge control in this vid. I don't know why they bother me so much. Probably because the ones I've tried just make your edges look shinier than the rest of your hair and they don't hold as well as regular gel.
