Very good explenation and tips. Didnt know about the death and return. I had Undying evil and stuff but changed to Armor of shadows now.

The cards name translates to "this object", not "this card". Conjurer's Closet says "This card" meaning it can steal the card as it leaves the zone and becomes a new object. Shirei is referencing its object self.

How do you feel about Crowded Crypt in this style of deck. It's a 3 mana rock, but it's one of the ones that produces black mana with no input so I am generally fine with those, but the big thing is that in these aristocrats style decks, it's just an army in a can that they build up over the game so is a solid late game win condition.

I don't think it's a bad choice, I'd have to see how many counters you can get onto it during a game. If you are getting enough death triggers for this to be a lethal activation - I imagine you are very much in the lead. That being said, I do like it as a way to create more sacrifice fodder for one big turn. I think it bears testing for sure.
