Hi there! I am owning edifier r2800 and Sven Stream Mega. Like them both, however, it feels like it's time to move on and this s2000 MkIII looks quite attractive. And what I hope is that the sound is as great as it is described on the net. So, what do you say?

What is the length of the cable that is connecting the two speakers?

It's about 4.5 meters long. So should fit in most environments. However, it's very thick and very hard to manage if you're care about cable management

Honestly I don't think you need any DAC whatsoever. Even if you do get one, since these are active speakers the built-in DAC (very good one I must say) is gonna override it anyway. On a different note, for another passive speakers I use SMSL, those are very good for speakers up to 8ohms.
