I bought 2 pair of these used and they are great! One thing I noticed is that the oled(?) display is slightly burned in, I have it on optical mostly (and the first user too I guess) and when it displays something else let's say "line 1" up close the slightly burned in letters optical can be seen lol. But from a distance you can't notice this and I guess. I wished it had a sleep timer, function to turn the little display off and a sub out would be nice too although they have plenty of bass already just to get an even fancier setup. When I first heard them I was very impressed, so are friends/family when they heard them for the first time. :) Hope they last a long time.

I currently have Edifier R2000DB, and really looking toward to either upgrade to S2000 MKIII, S3000 Pro or perhaps something like Q Acoustics M20. Any advice on which should I pick?

do I win anything with an upgrade from my brand new s2000 mkiii to s3000 pro (if it's a good bargain)? I do love pretty much everything about these little boomboxes. The only thing probably is that on volume over 35 I have to reduce bass due to the sound distortions (mostly on some rap and trap soundtracks), yet it doesn't annoy that much. So, what do you say?

@@user-on4bj2tr8f check out the bass response differences. I imagine the s3000pro could get a little better response. But honestly, I kind of miss the slightly smaller s2000pro and much cheaper.

Is there a way to change between the modes (Classic, Dynamic, Monitor and Vocal), without using the remote? Thanks

Thanks for your fast reply. Is such a shame that the user cannot control all the functions without the remote. I believe these speakers can easily last for many years, but the same thing cannot be said about the remote. And once the remote breaks or is lost, the user is locked in the Classic mode.

@@StealthMan1 I believe Edifier sells the remote separately, they are also sold on aliexpress and likely ebay too. You could buy an extra one just in case the main one gets broken.
