We stood in torrential rain for 3/4 of an hour a couple of years ago without any cover MESMERISED by Tom and his unbelievable skill and talent. I've heard Segovia ,Bream and the rest , but for me ( also a musician ), he is incomparable !!

I actually managed to find his name--Tom Ward. You can find other videos of him on KZbin.

Indeed, Tom Ward. I went back to Edinburgh Festival yesterday afternoon and caught the tail end of his first performance. I was in place for his second performance and setup by 4K camcorder on a tripod and videod the whole lot, even though a lot is in common with this. The day was beautiful and I managed to get some smashing photographs in the bright sunshine. An hour very well spent - thanks Tom, you are one talented chap!

Luthiers used to say how important shape, thickness of the top deck are. Tom's guitar looks trashed, but sounds magnificently. Miracle!

I think he also has "scalloped" his fingerboard as well. Then, after that I like how his fingerboard/fretboard is very wide in the higher registers. Classical Guitars have wider string spacing than all other guitars, but his fingerboard widens as the notes are higher up, much like an Lute and an Oud. I would love to have such an instrument! After I finish listening to Tom I will grab my Classical Guitar. It's been around 48 hours since I played her. He is inspirational and in my thoughts that is what separates Great Musicians from those who just play.

He´s a good performer, looks good and the show is entertaining, but as a guitar player, not very good. Sounds really imprecise and sloppy

He ruins his own composition by switching rythmic patterns and not covering them back( by playing them again ) .. to make it sound complete ..
