Edinburgh is Scotland's compact, hilly capital. It has a medieval Old Town and elegant Georgian New Town with gardens and neoclassical buildings. Looming over the city is Edinburgh Castle, home to Scotland’s crown jewels and the Stone of Destiny, used in the coronation of Scottish rulers. Arthur’s Seat is an imposing peak in Holyrood Park with sweeping views, and Calton Hill is topped with monuments and memorials.
The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the world's largest arts festival, which in 2018 spanned 25 days and featured more than 55,000 performances of 3,548 different shows in 317 venues.

Nice view of the city! Didn’t realize Edinburgh is that hilly (I have never been to the northern part of the UK) Like the colorful buildings on one street shop since I used to believe the vibrant colors belong to the south. May I ask how what are the best ways to travel there from London?

Thank you 😊 That's true, there are not a lot of colorful buildings in Edinburgh. It was basically just this one street. I'm not sure what the best way to travel there from London is, because I just flew from Germany to Glasgow. I think there might be a lot of planes going this connection. But the cheaper way and I am not sure if it is even slower, is by train.
