Edinburgh Tram depot visit

A guided tour around the Edinburgh Tram depot at Gogar during It's first "Doors open day" on 29th September 2018.
This included a tram ride though the depot's washing plant and a run around the site.
A big thanks to all the depot staff involved with this very low key "access all areas" open day.

That was an excellent, informative production. Very interesting to see the tram roof at close quarters- a lot of equipment up there. Also, the spare front ends- probably a wise precaution. The trams are very smart apart from one thing, which annoys me wherever I see it- Adverts covering the windows. When travelling, I like to enjoy the view from the windows, but so many otherwise pleasant rides have been ruined by the obscured view. Apart from that- Well done Edinburgh, and Well done BONESS27001

The event in 2018 was the first one for the depot.

For a good view of the top end, try sitting upstairs at the mcdonalds by st andrews square.
