Interesting solution. What about the loss of reading sensitivity due to the diode-induced voltage drop? Also, some sensors could have higher current needs than a GPIO could provide, so a transistor may be needed for external power switching. A CD4051 analog switch may be a good choice if you need more flexibility.

Thanks. We cant do anything to override the voltage drop. We can switch sensors using a transistor driver or relay

@@EDISON_SCIENCE_CORNER couldn't we add in software the drop of the diod?

I DID THE same steps for just 2 sensors , it returns wrong values for both , for example instead of returning 1024 for both sensors it returns 524 , when i remove one and keep only one i returns 1024 in the first and nothing on the other , when i plug both sensors and triger one of them the other sensor value also changes ... any solution ?

Thats due to the dropout voltage of the diode. If you want exact values then you have to use multiplexer.

Does it make a difference what diodes you us? If so, how do we decide which one to use?
@EDISON_SCIENCE_CORNER Жыл бұрын
Yes. You can use 1N 4007/1N4148 etc. You can use any type diode but should care about its forward voltage
