24fps in a 30fps sequence doesn't make sense. you can't magicaly create frames. it will look choppy beacuse instagrams minimum is 30 fps

This is incredible, thank you! Just a heads up for others out there trying to figure out how to create a new sequence WITHOUT importing media (because the "New Item" icon was missing on my end), you can go to File > New > New Sequence, and you should be able to see the same settings as Anthony :)

It seems that when I view the final clip on my computer all of the aspect ratios are correct but when I upload the video to Instagram from my computer the video is zoomed in and the format changes. If you’re posting music content like me, I really don’t recommend changing things to mono. I also recommend going down to 44.1 kHz at 256kbps to experience less compression.

TBH your layout is non sense, I don't know why you have the the media tab merged with the editing tab, so know if I was editing and I wanted to use a clip I need to press another tab and get out the editing tab to get the clip/audio I wanted to use and come back to editing tab?!! when you change the bitrate, the preset switches to custom from your suggested adaptive high bitrate

Why not use a plain video without a music then we can utilise the most trending songs from Instagram or TikTok also not getting any copyrights claims as those songs are promoted by those platforms. So we get better ranking and free songs. Or maybe I'm missing something?

Yes! The the resolution settings I use for both platforms are the same! Some people use 4K for Shorts, but TikTok only supports 1080p at the moment.

@@PierceJPeterson Shorts supports 4K. Partly because the file sizes and storage space would explode if I was shooting shorts in 4K. Also, if you watch the video I uploaded today, I tend to shoot everything in Horizontal and do a center-crop for 1080

It seems that Adobe advises against messing with the documents folders (on mac), as it pertains to things like sequence presets. I am on a 2021 M1 pro macbook and when I tried to import these sequence presets it was very frustrating because that isn't an option in premiere. I saved a dummy preset so that it would create the "custom" folder which I could then locate on my hard drive and add Anthonys .sqpreset files to. So in the adobe documents folder where the custom folder is, the presets are there, and I've restarted my laptop a couple times to give adobe a chance to rescan and reload its stuff, still won't show up in adobe when I open the sequence presets. I can not find any solution to this in the forums and in fact I've been advised in the forums not to try using sequence presets because its not that hard to just copy the settings yourself and save the preset properly in premiere. Everyone seems to say the more you f*** around in those folders in your users/documents/adobe etc. location the more random glitches and unexplainable problems you will encounter. So... Moral of the story: Just follow along with the video and don't bother downloading any templates for sequences. Effects and stuff that's different because there is an actual import preset button in premiere. For sequences, just do it yourself. Cheers
