I just found this vid from a google search. I just learned more in 15 mins about vert vid production in pr pro than I’ve been able to find in KZbin searches in 2 weeks. Thank you…thank you…thank you. The guide overlay is a life savor. I accidentally cut off my girlfriend’s head in my latest real on the profile view which only showed her butt…she thought I did it on purpose. Great video, I have been trying to avoid making shorts, but realize I need to go along with the flow. I am going to attempt to make shorts out of my existing videos. So stupid question. is the IG format you describe the same for KZbin and Facebook shorts??
@TimmyLodhi Жыл бұрын
That's a good question! I don't have FB so I can't speak for that but I believe it's the exact same for YT Shorts. You should be able to export one video and post it to both IG and YT without any problem.

Fantastic tutorial. Thank you. Are you able to do one show how to use a trending audio or voice audio that is in the app but edit it in Adobe Premiere. Trending transitions would be cool to learn how to do in adobe vs in app.

What I've been doing is trying to find the audio on YT, downloading it and using it to sync my clips in Premiere. Then when I go to upload on IG I find the audio and just place it over the video in the app. I've found that if I don't explicitly do this, it won't recognize the song and it will say it's my "original audio" which is unfortunate bc it really reduces your exposure. It would be great if it were a bit easier than this because many of the songs/ sounds aren't on YT.
@aguschar12 жыл бұрын
@@dowblab I did the same, more time but the proper way to get that exposure from the original audio. Thanks bro

Maybe after finishing up the product, mute/delete audio from Premiere? So then when it’s on instagram reels it’s using instagram as an audio

You don’t use a Sony conversion LUT for slog3? I saw your video on color grading slog2 and in that video you used the Sony lut. Got me a bit confused

Thank you! I'm currently using the Samsung 28" 4K 8-Bit UE570. It works great for my needs and is generally affordable. I've had it for about 3 years so it may be time to upgrade soon. What I love about it, is that it displays colors very accurately to how they will appear once exports from Premiere. So I don't have to deal with that annoying color shift that happens when I export files.

Hey Timmy when exporting what were your bitrate settings? CBR, VBR1 or 2?
@rogeliorogel86902 жыл бұрын
Veeery good question, I was wondering myself, I just saw your reel on IG and the quality is amazing, Ive been battling over a week with a pretty cool take I did qith my Mavic Air 2s, and I cant get IG to export it without compression and ruining it, Im really frustrated, and Ive tried all kinds of suggestions out there woth bit rate and such and nothing. I got an Android and for some reason I dont have the option of Data Usage in the IG settings to allow to upload content with higher quality, idk if thats the problema. When I upload stuff from my A7SIII no problem

Hey thanks for the vid! What about the music you added directly on your edit in PP? Does instagram recognize the music when posted and put the little square for copyright?
@TimmyLodhi Жыл бұрын
It doesn't! If you want IG to recognize it then it's best to add it in IG directly.

I’ve seen this demo on many different accounts I keep running into the same issue: the black frame is too wide despite having the same settings and when I import a video the frame just copies the videos frame it doesn’t keep that Instagram look it becomes a landscape, haven’t been able to find the aspect ratio to do it manually either with the crop tool

Hey Rosie! You just need to add timestamps in the video description. If you look at the bottom of my description you’ll notice what I’m talking about. Once you do that, chapters will be auto added to your video.

Instagram pushes reels so much more than posts. I have my woodworking projects posted regularly to instagram, and I get maybe double digits views, and ocasionally 3 digits. When I put a 15s reel of sanding a board through a drum sander, I got thousands of views and dozens of follows from it. It only makes sense because the platform never showed people my project posts.

@@TimmyLodhi I just shot a bunch of clips last Sunday, and I am follwoing your tutorial to edit a sub 1min reel for instagram. This vertical format is really annoying when all my footage were shot in landscape. They are also for youtube, and I can't shoot both orientations for every projects. I guess I will have to shoot wider, crop left and right for instagra, and crop to and bottom for youtube. Big SMH.
