Edit & Master LONG DJ Set Recordings // Davinci Resolve (FREE)

Editing and mastering LONG DJ sets in DAWs can be frustrating at times. Some of them don't allow for hours long exports- specifically Ableton Live (hour long export max). In this tutorial I'll show you how to use a FREE video editor - Davinci Resolve - to edit and master your long DJ mixes making sure they're loud, even, and ready for upload to streaming platforms.

*Note*- Ableton does allow for multiple hour long exports but only as MP3 as they limit the export file size to 2GB. I prefer to preserve audio quality before uploading to streaming sites so I need WAV exports. Resolve lets me export multiple hours long files in WAV.

Really interesting video. Will give this a try. Ableton crashed doing a 1.5 hour bounce the other day and audacity tends to introduce glitches to long bounces. Thanks for the video came here from Reddit

Indeed- Ableton crashes sometimes for me as well and only allows for MP3 exports of long recordings. Resolve is very stable for the most part and allows for full WAV quality exports. Glad it was helpful! Cheers!
