I will be making craft themed videos, tutorials, hacks, tips and tricks. Is there a program you recommend to capture video on a desk top? Part of the crafting I do is with a Cricut machine which you operate from a program called Design Space. Some of my videos will need to include steps and what I am doing on Design Space. -The Craft Room Queen

How exciting Michelle! You can use Descript or OBS Studio to record your screen. Both are great for this but I find Descript to be more useful since I can then edit the video within the same program straight away. Good luck on your journey! 🍀

Hi Darlene, I’m happy you’ve enjoyed the video! Yes, I created the palette in Canva - you can create a new design and add a grid of a few rectangles with your brand colors. There are templates available in Canva too if you just search for “palette”. They tend to be more elaborate though so I’d just grab the actual color samples, make them bigger and remove the rest if you want to use it for Stories or Reels 😊

(1) Yes, you can record/upload clips and once you’re happy with the final edit, there’s a music note icon within the editing panel which allows you to then add sounds too. (2) Because of the copyright restrictions, Instagram doesn’t allow you to download your Reel with the music chosen from the IG library. You can add save the video and then add music/sound later on in external editing apps like CapCut.

Do you suggest to set timing (duration) for each clips before you shoot. In this video you set only once ... could you please enlighten me.....

It depends on what you want to achieve 😊 I’ve only set it once here because I had two clips to shoot. Usually, I don’t set the timing for the last clip because it’s going to stop shooting anyway if the time runs out or I can just stop it myself and trim it. I use the set timing function when I’m doing something intentional with my clips like editing to a specific sound, shooting for transitions, doing cuts on beat etc. For original Reels i.e. talking head videos, I don’t use the timing function at all, only the countdown so that I can get into place. I hope it helps but feel free to ask if there’s something you’d still like to know ✨
