Gìthaka-inì is a Kikuyu word whose direct translation is 'In the bushes' or 'In the forest'.
In this song, this word has been used to mean 'In the wilderness ' meaning 'In tough seasons' rather than a literal wilderness.
This song was borne in prayer in an intimate moment with the HolySpirit. It was one of those times when God takes time to explain to you why 'the wilderness ' has to exist. Many people ask God many times; "Why do bad things happen to good people... or to anyone at all?"
God took time to explain many things in this revelation.

As I write this keeps ringing why am I sharing this? Coz it’s my way of documenting His goodness. In yet another trying moment am reminded that am not alone and when I remember I am strengthened, You are my Deliverer in trouble.
