Use to do it like this then noticed on tracks with lots of vocals it would take forever. Now i do the strip silence and just adjust and fade. Saves a ton of time.

Coming from PT too, the editing is so simple on PT and I’m having a tough time making the switch. But I’m TIRED of the $40 a month!!

I loved this tutorial video! I'm a news photojournalist breaking into the world of voiceovers, and you gave a great example of cleaning the (vocal) audio. All the best to you!

I just discovered this channel, while looking for audio & drum editing in Logic Pro X. This was a very understandable (and refreshingly short) version. Thank you! I am assuming the approach is similar to editing not only voice but guitar audio as well. Please guide me if that is explained somewhere else.

I've transferred my old analogue cassette recording from the 90's as a single track in Logic Pro and am trying improve the sound quality. Do you know what that process is called? I can't find anything about this subject online. The only thing the internet talks about is how to make new digital recordings sound more Analogue. I'm trying to do the exact opposite. Any advice? Do you have any tutorials on that subject? Anything? Thanks

I liked this approach but I preferred to just increase the pre attack time and then increase a little bit of the post release time. but im not editing singing vocals so i have it a bit easier to chop out dead silence.

When departing regions in this way, where there is space between them in the Main window area, have you ever screwed up the timing of tracks by accidentally moving one or more of them left or right? I've done this with a region or two, not sure how it happened, and want to avoid it. I thought of perhaps making sure each region starts on a beat boundary, or perhaps copying the starts of regions from the list editor after I've done all the silence removal I want to do. That way if it happens, I know where the start of a region is supposed to be.

Do you have a video that describes how to do a perfect edit. In other words, the instrumental is 32 bars but I'd like to edit it down to 16 bars. How do you hit the down beat with precision using Logic Pro?

You don’t have to click after your selection with the marquee tool, you can just hit delete and save a step

What happens when the fade feature isn't working?
@THLTheHitLab2 жыл бұрын
Just double check that your track isn’t set to take folders. Meaning, you have several takes in what seems to be one wave file. You can identify this by look at the left side of the wave file and if you see an A or a B. It’s a take folder. Select the take you want to use and flatten the folder by right clicking on the A or B sign. Now fade should work. Hope this helps!!
