Hey, here's a tip! Put a stocking over the end of your vacuum cleaner to lift up items that have fallen into a tight spot! The stocking stops them from being sucked up into the vacuum, but holds them enough to pick them up! :-)

Kiki has the cutest tail, looks like some type of powder puff. As for their nails, indoor cats need their nails trimmed about every 6 weeks so they don't curl and get caught on the furniture and carpet. I have a story about an office chair I once had. I went out and when I came home the chairs stuffing was all over the floor....LOL. When I purchased a new high end chair, I kept a bunch of cushions on the seat, so many that my cat couldn't sit on top. She learned that way that the chair was off limits, eventually I was able to remove the cushions and kitty didn't even go near the chair.

You really need to set some boundaries for these young kitties. Teach them what 'no' and 'down' means. Don't let them play with your Copics or computer. It might be cute now when they are so little and novel but in five years time it'll be driving you crazy.

+muskndusk No disrespect or anything, its just its for HER and Christian to decide what they're okay with and not okay with when it comes to their cats. Advice is fine but don't tell her what they NEED to do, because its ultimately their job to raise them the way that they want to. I'm pretty confident they haven't gone into this blind, and that they are prepared to be cat owners in every sense of the word. Besides, being driven crazy is just naturally part of what being a pet owner is about, no animal is going to be absolutely perfect behaving, and why should it? Thatd be boring. ALSO we are only seeing mere minutes of their whole day, whose to say they aren't training the cats off-camera? Teaching them the basic things and stuff?

+muskndusk Honestly I've had no luck "training" a cat. He knows exactly what we don't like him doing, but he does want he wants. He knows I don't want him on my desk, yet he jumps up here anyway. I've noticed a lot of the time it's about working with the cat and creating alternatives, not stoping them, because they will do what they want anyway and it just causes unnecessary fear depending on your reaction. Instead of on my desk, he has a cat tree nearby, or i let him lay on my lap if he's in a cuddly mood. Instead of playing with my pens and pencils, he has a ton of his own toys to play with. Her cats are also kittens, and will eventually stop playing with everything they see on their own, as long as they have their own alternatives.

Autumn F You don't 'train' cats, you manipulate them. For example, if a cat plays with something you don't want them to, offer an alternative like a catnip mouse. When your cat jumps on something you'd rather they didn't, put them gently on the floor saying 'down' and throw something (rumpled paper will do) across the floor. Soon they'll associate 'down' with having to leave the desk and will do so when you say the word. Cats don't do what you want them to do, just get them to think that what you want them to do is what they want to do anyway. I've had quite a number of cats, including ferals (the three I have now were originally feral) but they have all learned boundaries. One pair I had, Polly and Samantha, used to watch me at my desk but would only jump up when I sat back for a break: they'd learned that they wouldn't be welcome while I was working.

Place a strip of card the length of the desk to stop the markers falling down the back,stick the card down with double sided foam tape,yes fill that void and fur babies will not be able to push your valuable markers out of sight.

I generally clip my cats front nails every 1-2 weeks, but not their back claws. Those seem to grow slower. :)

Kiki and Midna are easily entertained! My fat black cat Bianca(RIP) would only play with this certain feather toy and nothing else, and my other orange tabby only plays with things that are moving or else he gets bored(cuz he likes to hunt). But your babies just play with anything it seems xD So cute~

I just let my cats claws grow and she keeps um nice and sharp using her scratching post. And in terms of scratching furniture if you just get a spray bottle and spray them if they scratch the furniture.

I love you so much I just wanted to tell you about something I will be starting in the next week or so , what I am doing is I am going round door to door with homemade book marks these barrel things I made from a air freshener lid and clothes pegs and stuff like that and I am selling them then half the money is going to go to art supplies and the other half is going to cancer research because my gran and my grandma pass away from cancer. if they were my kitties I wouldn't allow them on the desk. one thing that bugs me is that you don't show them who's boss. they'll get worse as they grow up. if you don't like them being somewhere make them kitties move. 🐱🐈
