Taeyang is a vocalist, main dancer, rapper and a songwriter, and dancer. He is best known as a member of the popular South Korean boy band, BIGBANG, which was formed by YG Entertainment in 2006. Taeyang debuted as a solo artist in 2008 and released several successful solo albums. He is truly the best vocalist in kpop.

Taeyang is not only a soloist but is part of BigBang who are kings of king of kpop. He has many great songs as a soloist but also his group. They are one of the first if not the first group to go international. They are legends in kpop and had many awards including MTV international act of the year early on in their career. Taeyang also topped charts. So many great songs that are classics. People say Lisa was a trainee when she was a background filler on Taeyang's music video Ringa Ljnga.

Taeyang always makes a reference to Michael Jackson, notice his final pose at the end, that is a famous MJ pose. In his new song Seed (please check that out) you can see MJ moves, also his big hit Vibe featuring Jimin, it is packed with MJ moves. Even in live concerts he sneaks some moves in. It’s obvious he adores Michael’s artistry. BIGBANG- 5 members G-Dragon (leader, composer, producer, rapper who sings extremely well, has one of a kind voice), Taeyang (main singer, dancer), Daesung (main singer with the power voice), T.O.P (first underground rapper to become an idol, his low voice made it a requisite for future groups to have a low voice rapper), Seungri (lead vocals with angelic voice). Highly recommend Bigbang's 'Bang, Bang, Bang', 'Fxxx It', & 'Still Life'. Their group is still in hiatus rn since 2017 & Taeyang is the first to have a solo comeback. Taeyang has 17 years of experience both as part of BigBang and also solo . Apart from Lisa he also gathered some of the best dancers in kpop because BigBang members are the idols of idols and the reason many artists joined the field . BigBang was supposed to play at Coachella in 2020 but . .Covid . This year the members are coming back with solo projects. If you dont mind balads you can watch Taeyang MV for Seed . If you want to give BigBang a try go on their chanel and watch a live performance. Watch their show at MAMA Awards 2015, watch GDragon and Taeyang perform Good Boy at MAMA 2014 . BigBang singing Sober at their MADE tour concert in Malaysia. The band that sung with BlackPink at Coachella was actualy formed at the request of BigBang leader GDragon for their Alive world tour in 2012. Alive was the first large scale world tour by a kpop artist .

Taeyang is the reason why I got into Kpop. But to get to know him is to get to know Bigbang as well. Bigbang built YGE, Blackpink's agency, and made into one of the biggest in SK. Taeyang, as a solo artist, has a wide discography. Check out I'll Be There (English version), Wedding Dress, Only Look At Me (Bigbang members in the m/v), I Need A Girl, Eyes Nose Lips. Ringa Linga (Lisa as backup dancer), Good Boy (w/ Bigbang leader, G Dragon)and his White Night documentary (making of the album and concert live performances). Besides RnB, Taeyang can rap, do hip hop, and sing ballads that pierce through your soul (Seed and Eyes Nose Lips). Lol. The m/v's are good but Bigbang's live performances are the best treat.
