The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has been divided into two parties, Sharad Pawar is the part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi and Mr. Ajit Pawar joined the BJP Shiv Sena Alliance and became a part of the ruling Mahayuti Coalition, and Election Commission of India (ECI) allotted the symbol 'Clock' to Ajit Pawar Group and recognised it as a official NCP on the basis of legislative majority test. Summary of today's article The article discussed about the symbol that had given to a party which is faction of a single party. The outcome of the division of the NCP will led to influence the political development and electoral outcomes. Here party leader Sharad pawar approached the supreme court for the symbol and asked Ajit pawar to opt another symbol for their party because supreme court gave the symbol to party led by Ajit Pawar which has its voter's base . This division may lead to many huge repurcurtions in future for both the leaders- Mr Ajit Pawar and Sharad Pawar. In February, ECI took a decision to allot the original symbol of NCP, 'clock' symbol which signifies the party's identity, to Ajit Pawar's group and in the result of this decision Sharad Pawar has approached the supreme court. After the faction, Sharad Pawar joined BJP led Shiv Sena, which was able to get majority of votes with 8 seats in Lok Sabha Elections. Whereas, Ajit Pawar went with Shiv Sena (UBT) and the Congress, which was able to get only 1 seat in the elections. This win for Sharad's group signifies that a party can gain or lose a lot in such a period of time.
