Eye opening editorial. Indian constitution, holy book given to us as guidance to march in patch of success by bulldozing the hurdles and stumbling block on the path. We totally ignored and failed miserably to follow the constitution in letter and spirt. All the statutory institution such legislature, judiciary , Election commission etc., fail to respect the holy book, reference made only if it is required. every political parties are concern about the popularity of their party and not about the growth of the country. Parliament discussion is a criminals waste, not focusing on the issues and speakers are not able to control and direct the members to utilize the time fruitfully. The parliament session is drama where each one trying mudsling the other. where are we heading???

@Sujith - This is the real problem facing our society. We are all entrenched in the caste-system, and want to have people do our dirty jobs while we live with a great sense of entitlement. All our value systems are anti-work. We want to live a life of luxury (without working for it) and thereby implying others will keep serving you. The Congress and his allies know that the BJP will not allow them to debate on relevant issues like Adani, unemployment, job losses, social injustice etc. So they thin it meaningless to allow parliament to function. Even if they want it to function, ee find that the ruling parties bring in irrelevant issues and do not allow it to do so, as they will have no satisfactory answers to pertinent questions. In short both sides are not interested in letting it function.

Sir, I don't agree that reservation has not benefited the SC/ST/OBCs. Implemented in the true spirit, Tamil Nadu and Kerala have shown huge progress in the socio-economic status of SC/ST/OBCs, improved literacy rates and representation in higher education particularly in engineering and medical fields compared to the national average. In TN population, 50% is OBCs 20% is SC/ST. TN stands in the top in education which means this 70% is also covered. - Literacy Rates: - SCs in Tamil Nadu: ~80% - SCs in Kerala: ~79% - National Average for SCs: ~66% - Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) in Higher Education. - Tamil Nadu: ~38% for OBCs - Kerala: ~42% for OBCs - National Average: ~26% for OBCs. References - Government reports on SC/ST/OBC statistics. - National Sample Survey data. - Educational statistics from respective state education departments.

Nair Saab, even with schemes and reservations upliftment of SC ST is not happening, just imagine if there is no reservation, the people at top will ensure all the OBC, ST, SC as sewer workers and only hurdle for top people is the constitution drafted by Ambedkar Saab, which BJP wants to throw in dustbin, interestingly you don't have any problems with HM humiliating Ambedkar but questioning the opposition what they have done from 1947 which Godi media does..
