Editors truly are one of the best bands out there, criminally underrated. It's amazing me the fact they don't need to be over the top to convey their message, which hits me every time

I believe their underrating only makes them better. That's what happened to Coldplay after two great first albuns. Underrating makes bands sharper and more creative (Radiohead is a good example of that phenomenom)

Most definitely puts me in the mind of David Gahan and DM. Some people hate comparisons. I think they are fuel for others to discover new fodder. Editors evolve, sometimes, not at all seamlessly... yet beautifully, between the realms of many different musical FEELS.

It's quite sad you don't get Frankenstein, it's such a pure Editors song!. Maybe concentrate more on the lyrics, but as a band, they've always loved a contradictory electro feel. It's part of their makeup. Similar to the way Joy Division became New Order. There is no obvious line from "Transmission" to "Blue Monday" in terms of style, but by god can you feel the connection.

I am captivated by what the wind's doing to Smith's locks, what adds to it is that it's sort of exactly what Editors music does to my core. Makes it dance, among other things. I'll move on because this isn't about me, RR's attention to detail is incredible and outstanding as always, not going to even try comment the song because words fail there.
Thanks that this time it's in color, not just black & white as usual

Had an affair once with a beautiful woman both in mind and in body. This and Barricades were our songs. They still make me well up with tears. She never got over the pointless fact that she was 10 years older than me, I couldnt care less. She chose the status quo and went back to her abusive husband. Never been with anyone else since in a serious way. Ours was a passion so fierce that nothing else compared. I'll always love her and I hope she finds the happiness she deserves. I see her still but she won't even look me in the eyes anymore. Probably for the best. I still have the Editors and the memories. Christ I need a drink.

An End Has a Start" (2007).
