Edmonton is 8.4 miles ( 13.5km) North-northeast of Charing Cross and stretches just to the south of the North Circular Road.

I was Raised in Edmonton. Who remembers the spiral walkway crossing that spanned the roundabout ? It took you longer to walk to the top then to cross the round about. The market has changed a lot but layout seems very much the same. Who remembers wimpy bar Play world amusement arcade Swimming baths W8, 149, 279 & 249 buses that stopped at the green. Are they still running?

I’m still in Edmonton :D There are the 279, 259, 149, 349, W8, W4 and a lot more. I can’t remember much since I rarely go to Edmonton green because of lockdown.

@@labeebhussain3378 yep! remember the buses. 279 to Waltham X. W8 Enfield, 249 tramway avenue bus garage. That’s gone now.. Edmonton and Tottenham had a large West Indian community, more so Tottenham back in the day. There was unity amongst our people back then. God I don’t know what happened. Things always go tits up post first generation with most cultures. The only exclusion I say is Jewish because they are bound by religion.. Maybe the same for Muslim, we shall see..

The only thing that I remember is that peacocks which has been there for a long time,across on its left there was boots,then Tesco next to it....few doors away to Tesco was woolworth ,I used to hang at the arcade upstairs,back in the day they also had a dentist upstairs and an army office ,swimming pool and post office was on the other side,n9 will always be in my heart

I lived here in 2016 in a flat on first floor. Everyday there'd be police, people screaming and running. It was living hell there. Never again

I'm surprised by the amount of shops and stores there are in Edmonton. It literally has almost everything. The council really invested well into the area it seems.

Jeez the green has changed alot since I knocked about there . The railway was alright. Is the old circus 🎪 still there ? Asda??? Is that where the swimming pool used to be ? It's very quite in the video doesn't look very busy .. changed alot since I lived around there

I worked on the market when I was a kid from 1981 till about 1988. Some of the best characters you could ever imagine worked on the green you could hardly move for the crowds on a Friday and a Saturday ,what a great place the green used to be .some of the greatest memories of my life happed there and they seem a million miles away from my life now in London Ontario Canada🇨🇦🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I used to work in that area and had digs at the pymmes park inn and used to go for a drink in a pub called the golden fleece which was down the road..not sure if these pubs are still there.

grew up here its cleaner fresher but the old green had charactor i used to play on the rockery where the iceland is and had arcade up stairs and wheres the bloody swimming pool gone the in shop oppersit the libary where you got the best jerk chicken and morris wheres his shop lol
