I think they’ll choose tanev or weegar. Bouch’s game is just not at a great level yet this year. And that’s a shame because playoff Evan would have been an automatic! Yesterday alone he made 8 mistakes that led to grade A chances against. 8!

I think if I was Team Canada, I'd take Weegar over the others you've mentioned. He is really good defensively and that's what they need for the position at hand. Defence is what they need to help the goaltenders out which will only help the offence do their jobs and score. To me, it's a no brainer.

I agree, though I can see it being a problem if the goalie is too bad overall; canada defense keeps the other teams to the perimeter, so they just end up taking many point shots, and those beat the goalie because he simply isn't that good.

I'd like Bouchard for sure. Especially for his cannon shot on the PP. Plus, the dude can carry it in and set up plays which makes for anther Makar or Theodore. Making the Defense almost as deadly on the play as the Offence certainly has its advantages.

Brandon Montour shouldve been on roster originally....can skate, move the puck, play pp....imo he fits in well with the make up of thr team.....unless you want to go defensive and slot in Brayden McNabb or Josh Manson.

Big Oil fan and a fan of Bouchard as well. That said however I wast Canada to win this tournament and there a whole lot better options for Canada's d-core. Bouchard has just shown himself as mistake prone this year. Time on ice? Time on ice has little to do with some of the Junior B errors Bouch has been making. Agreed though regarding Nurse...I think he'd look good on team Canada's defence

​@AHockey1993 Maybe not. I really don't know the timeline of the injury. I think even then Bouchard had struggled this year defensively too much for a roster spot. I think they will take Weegar or even Tanev. Maybe even Nurse. We shall see!

Bouchard’s defensive game is no way near good enough to be on team Canada. Wish McDavid would step back from this tournament as well,the rest would help when the boys go deep into the playoffs.
