Him being on LTiR would hurt us more than it helps. You don’t accrue cap space on in used cap space if you have players on LTIR.

Put Kaine and Nurse on LTIR and get 3 good players saving around 14 million.

Nurse’s injury maybe bad news but it may be a blessing since we have 5+9.5 M$ LTIR cap space open up.

An abundance of riches and NO ONE you can get that is decent with it (especially as Nurse is expected back fairly quickly). We'll see. Thanks @frankojodoka. Many of us were thinking the same thing but you put it down and now it's on our minds. I thought you can't accrue if anyone is on LTIR and we want accrued cap space.

@@epiphany519 This is the problem. Unless the Flames will give up Weegar or Anderson, losing a 20m+ defender would NOT be good, even with his flaws. I'm thinking he's still ahead of Wanner.

We don’t want to be in ltir, cause we don’t accrue salary cap space.

@@rayflojenkins8689 It would depend on the length of the injury and who you could get for the year. Accruing cap space doesn't matter if the player doesn't come back until the playoffs. If, say, Nurse were out until the playoffs, they could afford both Weegar and Anderson - at that point, who cares about the deadline space? Sounds like these are just short term things though.
