Thank you again maestro! Just for the newest guys: he clicked on “fold” after drawing the notes of the scale, so only those notes are shown, that means you should not count to 7, but to 10 or 11 (depending if it’s major or minor) but ONLY if you didn’t highlight the scale notes like in the video :)

Hitting the sevens and nines is actually not a trivial thing to do, but you were right when you hit it it’s very moving. I imagine hitting the nine is similar to hitting the 2.

Hey Will! Could one of your next videos be on hardstyle? Twisted Melodiez did a remix of Dimatik's song Dragonite and the lead is so cool but I have no idea how they made it.

Great video! Can you make a video in the style of Klur? He has very emotional/heart-melter chords and melodies. I've always wanted to learn the secrets behind his music. His track Mystery is one of my favs right now.

So is the aim to hit the 7th/9th for each chord or the scale, so keep it to 2 notes the entire chord progression?

I saw the full video and I still don't get it. The selected piece doesn't resonate with me. I wonder if that's why.

yeah, it is a bs advice anyway. If you want to make a sad melody - dissonance pauses and chromatism. Or simply said - use tones only one semitone apart (while still in key for the most part at least) and long pauses. Do this to feel. Copy sad melodies from other songs and change them to see what preserves the feeling and what breaks it

Not every chord progression and melody resonates the same way with every person.
