I think it will allow the listener to be lazy and ignorant to what the art of music really is…AI will get much better at it and so goes the fun of listening to live bands. Well, that is already a reality, isn’t it.

One of the catchiest melodies ever written is The Final Countdown by Europe IMHO.

I am very new to Ableton.. a complete novice. So decided to try an emulate what you were doing as the video played (LOTS of pausing and going back to replay parts) Can't seem to get the grand piano chord to sound in time with the kick, but it doesn't seem to snap to the grid and when I zoom in I can see it's not bang on the next beat.. hmm.. lots of learning to do. I don't have serum either, but have vital .. attempting to get the drop bass now. I will keep watching and just doing it by trial and error I suppose :) GREAT video Will and just getting some sounds out of Ableton is a triumph for me lol.

Fantastic tutorial. Your detailed instructions are easy to follow and understand. Anytime I have questions or am not clear of creating racks, this is my go to video. Thank you. I've been using Ableton for about 2 years with still lots to learn, using the same DAW makes it so much easier to understand. Keep em coming. Thanks

Catchy melodies do have patterns. Middle, high, low Middle, low, high Low, high, middle High, low, middle Don’t end on the tonic note, unless the underlying chord is not the tonic chord. This is true for all instrumentation, including vocal melodies. KZbin theory teachers tell you to end on tonic chord after a phrase, and I strongly disagree, unless it’s a more stable part of the song, before any build up, like the first verse. End your phrases on the fifth, minor seventh or the ninth degrees. That’s what people like David Gilmour were doing to make his phrases bleed emotion. You’re welcome. Take advantage of harmony.

Seen the title and clicked just to say WHAT THE FCK??? Ai is now replacing any artistic/creative privileges humans are blessed with. What a plastic world we now live in 🤷‍♂️

I also use SUNO. However, in my opinion it is not the best as others call it. Limited credits: 50, no clear music quality. I have 6 songs with these 50 credits. Besides, it doesn't always work out the way you type in. Sometimes it changes the title I give. Instead of a male voice, a female voice comes out. I have no intention of paying to have mistakes. I also use " AI Song Generator - My Works." Cleaner sound, a large selection of music styles, mood, but... well, even greater limit. I will do 3 songs (it goes to 4) and maybe about two days I have to wait for the opportunity to continue creating the next songs.
