Shelby is definitely the V8 sound that’s nostalgic, but there’s something about the corvette that has the V8 sound and that ridiculous high pitched scream that it can do 😅 It’s kind of like a V8 with a supercharger whine 🤤

The fact that a corvette is mid engine, naturally aspirated and sound like this is a testament to America moving forward technology wise and away from the stigma about American V8s being outdated lumps of metal and not as good as european V8s. Zo6 sounds more refined like an unassuming kung fu master that speaks softly but will kick major @$$, mustang sounds more like a muscular bodybuilder/street brawler with an attitude. Zo6 wins for me.

The C8 Z06 is actually a lot better in real life. I've driven one when I was contemplating on trading in my Blackwing for one. It's very raspy and screams with bass that kicks into your chest.

gt500 all day. if i want the sound of the zo6 ill by A crotch rocket or older Ferrari or even honda with the right exhaust lol. Atleast when ford does a 32 valve dohc vtec v8 with flat plane crank lile the gt500. Ford kept it sounding american. Recently even heard a regular c8 stingray with a supercharger going through a tunnel and waaayyyy better than the z06. plus zo6 sounds bad everywhere in the rpm range except when its being revved high. with tune gt500 can go 8500rpm and still sound american and whoop the zo6

I believe the ZO6 has a rev limiter. I know mine a 19 sounds totally different if I try to rev it in park versus when driving. To me mines sounds like Sam Kinison when I unleash the beast 🤣
