Robot bass clarinet---the bass function role in this band, the low notes you hear are coming from this amplified, effected bass clarinet, inspired by Eddie Harris, Don Ellis, Ian Underwood and Miles Davis; built in consultation with Perry Tee, Throb Henson, Tadas Paegle and Set Benjamin Bortolotti.

Faun Tumnus was the Cornelius Boots led prog-rock quartet, active in Bloomington, Indiana from 1997-1999. The predecessor to magnesium, which refined this format into a power trio. Both groups were fueled by the fever dreams of the one and only robot bass clarinet, a true rock bass clarinet manifestation.

As a bass clarinetist I have long been amazed at the neglect of this instrument in funk and reggae. I tried out an octave pedal at a local guitar shop. When I got my instrument out the sales assistant gave me a funny look and left me to it. When I started playing he ran back in, saying "F***ING HELL" and started shooting video on his phone.

you get a wireless mic setup (I recommend using one like you see that are attached to your shirt) then plug the receiver into a PA system

I saw you guys in the nineties at the Waldron Arts Center with Homunculus, Fambooey, and a ska band. I was in high school still but visiting my brother at IU, and I couldn't wait to tell all my friends about this wild band whose "bass" player was blasting a bass clarinet through effects pedals. So glad I found you guys on here!
