This is so so true, for years I've felt that issues with my gut was causing me stress, less focus so worked on my diet... I was gluten free for like 5 years which helped me to some extent but I still had bloating and discomfort so I got tested, endoscopy and what not and I also had H. Pylori like you Ed and yes the anti biotics killed me for like 2 weeks of taking them... I've always felt that there is a deep correlation between gut and mind because when my gut is sore, I feel more stressed, less energy, focus... Really appreciate the Ed and Dr Amy Shah!! 🙏 It's been extremely valuable - can't wait to read your book 📙

I recently had a "emergency surgery" which removed part of my intestine and had my intestines rerouted. As well as being on heavy antibiotics via midline for a month. My entire body is now wrecked!! On many levels. I've been studying this for a long time and "Doctors" are close yet NOT understanding the connection. I'm freaking out. I was also told in hospital that my diet had nothing to do with it, I couldn't believe my ears !!

This is SO freaking good! I am so grateful for you and Dr. Amy for sharing this information! I am a holistic health coach and author- I have been talking about this stuff for years and its always amazing to me that people would rather take pills then eat real food/ lacto fermented foods and they make a HUGE difference! I wrote my book Poppin' Past Forty where I interviewed Steven Gundry MD and we talked about the corilation between fertility and the microbiome! it is fascinating! so I love that you are posting this bc it needs to be mainstream! you are the best! I would love to talk about the fertility connection anytime!!! youre the best Ed!!!

Also know about the mind/health/emotion correlation!! Thanks for this fantastic show !!

Thank both of you. I watched both interviews you do with Dr. Amy Shah today this afternoon that sounds interesting I found it. Near the end of this interview talking about what doctors talk about with gut Brain and body… most doctors don’t learn this in their medical school training this is usually something that is after their medical school MD train from what I’ve heard. Most doctors don’t study nutrition. From what I’ve been able to gather and learn, and I do work in a hospital, doctor study disease and drugs that help those diseases. I don’t find anything wrong with that. It is however very limited it’s not studying what makes a healthy life. thank you Dr. Shah for studying what makes a healthy life. That too Health nutrition is something that some doctors like Dr. Shah Study afterward they get their MD. most don’t I think. although they have a great scientific basis springboard to work from. that said I listen to this stuff all the time and then these two interviews and at this synchronistic time in my life have been and will be a great springboard of change for me. So thank you both Dr. Shah you are amazing

This has been know by Yogis for centuries. In energy body terms it known as the The solar plexus and in modern medical terms the ganglionic mass in your gut is the beginning of the Vagus nerve that directly goes to your brain. But there’s more, we also have a “brain” in our heart this is what’s call the mind/body connection. Healing you gut will Begin the process of healing your mind and healing your mind will eventually lead to healing your heart leading to more connection with source energy more connection to yourself and more connection to others

I take good care of my health but have never heard of having neurotransmitters in the gut nor that gut health influences mood.
