All glu had to do was make it work with 'costume' tag and/or actually discuss the 'pay 2 win' mechanic is a thematic one off and I would've been fine with it. The main issue was a new implied monetization path forward. What if Evil Queen works with vanity for Villain costumes? If you take this as ok, it's all on the table for future releases too. I'm also sad we can't have Prince Ali get buffs and stuff here, would've been good fun. Could've had it work for all parties involved.

Agree with this. They should buff edna’s leadership to include both dth AND costumed heroes (costume tag like you said). Better yet, they should let her leadership temporarily unlock characters’s costumes while in battle with her to showcase costumes

the amount of mental OP stuff that glu leaves in the game or left in the game for ages (hiro anyone?) i dont understand why the caved on this one? I agree it was such a nice touch to this character

It will go down as one of the greatest what ifs? Agree with you that it was a missed opportunity with so much potential for theorycrafting

Was sooo bummed out they nerfed her. Agree it fit her character perfectly. I'm mostly F2P and wasn't complaining. Characters like Alice Caterpillar and Snow White need to be nerfed but nooo Edna nerfed day one 😢 great video keep up channel!

The problem with a leadership for characters with costumes is that costumes are a completely separate system from all game balance. As an analogy, imagine if Zeus counted as a princess character. I don't want Glu, a company notorious for not testing before releasing, to have to consider how giving a character a costume might affect game balance. I think what could be cool to give Edna the costume synergy she deserves is for Edna to automatically equip her teammates with available costumes, even if the player doesn't own them.
