No need to go to court, I will advise PDP, pls, learn from Peter Obi court battle, it's a wast of time, money and energy as long as they are in power at federal level.Everyone knows what played out. INEC is the major problem.

Let not deceive ourselves it is not vote buying that causes hardship because the vote buyers are not demons. Let us judge people on what they do with power not how they got the power.

Citizens that change their minds as to who to vote for and what political party to vote for have no loyalty to the parties they belong to. Politicians who go out there initiating vote buyer also have no loyalty and integrity for their parties. In the United States where there two major political parties, both parties go after independence at all cost during elections but not to the extent of having open vote buying. You can win the independent through persuasion but not monetary inducement. Like the LP candidate has observed the current hardship in the country might have enticed people to accept money for votes. This is not necessarily so, vote buying in Nigeria has been in effect since pre-independence. On a serious note there is no evidence that vote buying has made one candidate secured more votes than the other because there is no record after election that identifies which votes were purchased. Politicians buy votes in different forms but what politicians complain about is votes buying that come in form of cash. What about politicians that distribute other items such bags of rice, textile materials during campaign before the actual voting day, what are those gift meant for? Politician need to stop complaining about one party or the other buying votes. There is no doubt that LP also bought votes but not caught. Finally, the deterrent to vote buying in Nigeria should be jail time and heavy penalty to the party of the vote buyer. EFCC should prosecute offenders and seek jail time plus penalty for offenders. There has not be an example set and hence politicians still engage in such acts.

U guys are here kept saying vote buying and which of the politicians have been arrested till now? Can anyone try to induce anyone in America or UK and not land in jail at the end ?
