I greatly appreciate your generosity, when sharing in such detail your colour mixing. I fing this level of transparency so helpful, and so rare. Much gratitude

Another beautiful painting, Edo! I like it when you show your palette, I can see the consistency of the colour mixes and what colours you use. Thanks for this interesting demo!

Thank you for your great instruction again. I laughed when you said "every man needs a blow dryer". Your color mixing is very interesting to watch.
@EdoHannema-Watercolour-Art8 ай бұрын
My pleasure, I cannot without a blowdryer haha. With a demo it is handy. But for my real work I often let it dry naturally. most of the time it is much nicer.

Hallo Edo.

Just excellent! Like video on demand -as I am just starting to think more about how I paint water. From what I have seen from this and your other demos; -Let the water be a mirror of sky and surroundings? Of course with exceptions of roaring seas.. No rules without exceptions. And for me, a good pointer not to center horizonlines! Thank you!!
@EdoHannema-Watercolour-Art8 ай бұрын
It need some courage, and a bit of speed. The right wetness of the brush, and the right strength of the pigment in the brush. But for the rest it is a piece of cake! ;-) It doesn't go at once, but practise is just as fun!

Thank you very much! I sign them on the front. On the back I usually write on the edge what paper I used.

@EdoHannema-Watercolour-Art8 ай бұрын

Dear Edo, very nice painting, thank you for sharing the video with us. To me the white horizontal part is a bit unclear. Is it water? Maybe some dry brushstrokes would help to 'inform the eye'? Greetzzz
@EdoHannema-Watercolour-Art8 ай бұрын
Its the wind on the water. you see them sometimes on the river. I should put the sky colour there first and let it dry. And a broken effect would be better too. But this is a demo, and never a perfect watercolour.

I am curious. What is phtalo blue called when looking at Maimeris colourcharts?
@EdoHannema-Watercolour-Art8 ай бұрын
Blu Primario Cyan nr 400.
@EdoHannema-Watercolour-Art8 ай бұрын
You can also look up on the internet the pigment code for phthalo blue, and look for that code in the colourcharts. When you check it like this you are certain you have the right pigment. A lot of brands just try to make a certain colour by using a few cheap pigments. And crazy enough a lot of people use that brand too.

Nee, ik ben een Amsterdammer. 😁😁 Grapje hoor.
