This video just saved my butt from endless misery trying to figure this all out myself. THANK YOU! You are a saint.

Wow, this video saved me SO much time. Somehow the hose going to the fuel pressure regulator on my 944S had come unplugged!

Nice explanation of the 951 vacuum system. Wish you would do a venturi delete video for those of us who would like to get rid of the venturi. Thanks.

I'm doing a venturi delete on my personal 951 engine so I'll be sure to make a video on that when I get around to it! Thanks!

Can't wait to work on my own 924 and try to clean up all the wires and hoses. Looking to see if I can simplify all the lines! Good job man! I'm glad you know where everything is and explain it so well!

edredas thanks. But first I have to get the 924! Still looking for that 924s. I'm still learning off of you! As soon as I get it, I'll be hitting up on all your vids again! 😜

Thank you for your video. I'm almost done putting all new vacuum lines on my '88 Turbo S. I have to say I love the video, but I'm so OCD I cannot stand the filth on the lines and engine. I spent almost two weeks just individually cleaning each line and engine to be completely clean. But, still a great help. Thanks again.

Yeah I completely understand. I try to keep my personal engines clean but unfortunately this is a customer car and it’s not in the budget for me to add hours of labor to clean it up. Thanks!

Can you make a video about the evap system? I have a fuel tank that won’t take fuel from the filling station because it shuts off the nozzle.
@edredas3 жыл бұрын
Do you hear pressure being released when you remove the fuel cap? It could be the check valve.

Hi Edredas! what should go into the hard line that is connected from the intake manifold to the KLR? I was checking mine and the clear line has some liquid inside, just a little (like old gasoline in it), dont know if it´s normal... Can you help me?
@edredas4 жыл бұрын
Just runs from the vacuum port to the klr. There shouldn’t be any fluid in the line. If there is then it could be water from a leaky battery tray or the turbo blowing stuff into the intake

I’ve got a 1986 (951) and I’m getting a loss of power and what seems to be the fuel cutting out when I’m in 4th and 5th gear in heavy acceleration. I can’t figure out the problem. Do you have any ideas??
@edredas5 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you might be going into overboost protection. Where is the boost gauge during these pulls and is it sudden and violent when it happens?

My 86 turbo doesn’t have a lot of kick when I hit 60mph. It used to just have a lot more boost. Any suggestions?
@edredas5 жыл бұрын
Could be a boost leak. I show to check for on in my Nautic Blue 951 series of videos. Also could be a stuck wastegate but that's a bit more advanced to check and got to be careful not to harm the engine.

have you ever changed a brake booster on any of the 944's?
@edredas6 жыл бұрын
Yup, removal pretty straight forward. Just un-clip the rod from the brake pedal and remove the lines from the master cylinder, then remove the three nuts on the firewall. I hope that helps!

Hey you make fantastic videos. I require your advice please, I can't figure out any other way to contact you. I own a 1986 951 and when the hole over the throttle body is unobstructed the car barely runs. It sputters and surges and almost cuts off but never does. When I plug the hole or merely put my finger over it it idles perfectly. I always thought that hole was supposed to be open. Here's whats been done by me, plugs changed, plug wires changed, distributer roter cap changed along with rotor. WTH is going on with this thing?
@edredas5 жыл бұрын
Hey, the easiest way to contact me is either here or through my facebook group. That said, it sounds like your idle screw is missing. You can order one here! www.paragon-products.com/Idle-Screw-p/951.110.919.00.htm

Nice video but what is a klr? trying to figure out what these Germans were smoking when they made this. Great video
@edredas6 ай бұрын
It's the secondary computer which in the english version of the work shop manual called the Knock Regulatory Unit. So the KLR controls timing, boost pressure (using the cycling valve), and detects knock.
