- For the windows that go up and down with the key, on my Ioniq 6 (in France), that feature works, except that all four windows go down. Aaaand you can put them back up with the "lock" button ! - the door handles "open on approach" does not work here. Maybe I’ll be subject to the recall. I hope so, but I’ve not been contacted by the dealer. - the blind-spot camera view is nice, but there could have been a button somewhere on the turn signal handle to put them both on temporarily. I miss that sometimes in narrow streets here. - for the dislikes : I agree on the keyfob, the lane change (but that’s only a gadget for me), the location of the charge port should have been rear-left to match the Tesla Network. - the rear daytime lights is also something I miss. Here in France, all the Renault / Peugeot have them. - for the seat with Bluelinks, I find it totally absurd that like 90 % of the features of the car are handled by the OBC, but not accessible with Bluelink. This make Bluelink almost useless actually.

1. I like that you have a box of tissues in the lower-center storage bin. 2. Not being able to turn on the heated/ventilated seats via Bluelink, but being able to turn on the heated steering wheel, sounds like a simple oversight by Hyundai. I would think they can fix it via an app or OTA update. Can Hyundai's get OTA updates, or do they expect you to take it to the dealership for an SD card to be inserted, like it's 2003? 3. Wired-only Apple Carplay or Android Auto is just silly at this point. Hyundai should definitely do it wirelessly. I like your workaround.

Thanks for your question! The majority of the trunk is about 41" wide. The very front of the trunk (closest to the opening) has about a 7-8" section that is 48" wide, but the rest is 41". With that said, you may have to take out your drivers and store them in that front part of the trunk, that is wider, unless your kit is small enough to fit entirely in that front section (unlikely). Yes the ioniq 6 is a bit quieter on the inside. Probably partly due to the lack of an open hatch back trunk area. Hmm... turn-assist is too slow? 4-5 seconds sounds about right to me. Where I live and drive/ride far too many drivers misunderstand what indicators are for. They seem to drive along (often slowly) waiting for a gap with no indication, then only indicate as they change lane (or even actually just while changing lane). Life as a driver gets SO much easier, and safer for others if you *indicate* your intention, THEN wait for the gap to do so safely, then change lanes. Yes, perhaps 4-5 seconds later.... or even more in heavy traffic. Charging port on the right side. GREAT news at last for those of us driving on the left-side of road! 😆 BOTH of our current cars have the fuel tank cover on the left-side of the car, so I have ALWAYS needed to get out at the petrol station and walk around the back of the car. You calling the infotainment good conflicts with my experiences in my EV6 (the same system by the way). It is one of the main reasons why I actually got rid of it after 1 year of ownership. 1: I felt super slow, always that 0.5 to 2 seconds delay when you tap an icon. Add that many features/toggles are hidden 3-5 layers deep, it is in total seconds of waiting for the slow system to respond. The lag is even worse when you just get into the car and start it. So you want to quickly set your destination/music after getting in? No, wait for the lag first. 2: No proper customizable home screen or customization in general. If you want to talk about proper customization, look at BMW and VW systems (especially the new one in ID7/ID Buzz LWB). For example: With VW and BMW, you can put ambient light settings on a quick menu. 1-2 taps and done. With Kia/Hyundai you need to dig 5 layers into the system to change the colour of your ambient light. It is not user friendly at all. Swipe to right > Settings > Vehicle > Swipe down > Lights > Ambient light > Colour..... Come on.... And this is just 1 example of the, frankly dated, UI design of Hyundai Group cars. And remember, always that delay at every tap. 2.5: Kind of an extension of the former: No short cut/tray system for frequently used features, like you can in Tesla, BMW, VW etc. 3: Graphics are not that good. Resolution is alright but you can definitely see it is not super high. Not a major issue really. 4: Extremely dated and slow in-built navigation software that you NEED to use for battery pre conditioning. Searching for chargers/POI barely works, takes ages and then does not even clearly show where things are because the UI is so bad. My most hated feature in the car for sure. These, the poor battery pre conditioning (very weak heater so takes ages + only works above 20% SoC), and a few EV6 specific annoyances made me question whether it was a good buy. So I sold it.
@edsgarage001 Жыл бұрын
Thx for the comment. You make some good points... But I've never had an issue with lag on this system nor my old 17 ioniqs system. And Hyundai is continually praised for is infotainment system by reviewers for its ease of use. My dislikes, I have to manually turn off my lane assist everytime I am driving along urban or rural roads, it tries to steer me into the ditches along the side of the road. Parking sensors on the rear keep detecting a phantom object, now days I always reverse park otherwise I cannot get out without it going into collision alert mode because it thinks there is a car behind me. Sometimes when I am reverse parking it still will not let me park because it detects an unidentified object behind me, this locks the car, vibration in steering wheel and sound the alarm it refuses to move, very frustrating. I don't like the fact that it keeps turning the radio on even though I have switched it off, everytime it comes on by itself, I have to turn the volume off, likewise even with temperate control off, sometimes it comes on, by itself, and then there is the navigation glitch, it gets confused and tries to orientate the map upside down, so instead of driving north it is going south, so as you are moving up the route it is moving down the route, but simple overide to this is to push the navigation button in again and reset your destination.

Wait, you have the AWD like me, but at around 90% you only have 340km of range left? At 90% I am still almost at 500km! How the heck are you driving this thing? 😀
@edsgarage001 Жыл бұрын
Yeah.... I'm an aggressive driver lol. I also drive primarily on the highway, and it was still cold at night AND a lot of that guess was based on pulling a trailer. I'm now getting over 500km per charge.

If you are in the UK, the charging door is on the driver’s side. 🤪

Minor dislike. Next track on CarPlay is a down click on the steering wheel tab. It should be up. Everything else is up for + or advance.

I agree... Thought this was weird. I'm used to it now mind you

4:50 What if your kids are play5outskde and you have the keys in your pocket and happen to accidentally hit the button? Yo that shit is dangerous.
@edsgarage001 Жыл бұрын
What button??? If you're referring to the smart park, it won't move unless you first remote start, and to do that, you'd need to first hit the lock button then hold the remote start... Finally then you'd need to hold to smart park button. Even then, the car will detect objects in it's path and stop instantly. There's nothing dangerous about it

Cool car but nobody is buying it.

Not as many as the ioniq 5... But they're still selling. Also in other markets, they're still selling relatively well.

Yeah I don't get people that say stuff like that... I mean, there's cars out there that cost hundreds of thousands, let alone millions. These days, this car is actually extremely well priced for what you get compared to the competition.

Are you clairvoyant? Or is this a baseless assumption? My last 17 Hyundai Ioniq was still in tip top condition despite requiring next to no maintenance after 7 years and 120,000km. No creaks, squeaks or issues of any kind. You don't know what you're talking about.
@guillermosolares3096 Жыл бұрын
@@edsgarage001 Totally agree... I bought my very first Hyundai in 2006 taking the risk, I was highly surprised about all the software and toys it came with for the price I paid. It was Sonata Limited. Since then, I have been buying other 8 cars from Hyundai. The only one I didn't like was the 2022 Tucson Hybrid. the suggested MPG was really off from 38 to barely 32. While in my Ionic 2019 Limited i said 49 MPG and I am still getting 48 - 50 MPG after 4.5 years. Really good quality!
