I rarely comment on these, (even when they work), but I HAD to on this one! I have a white board that has had perm. marker on it for probably 2 years give or take. I decided to try this with 91% rubbing alcohol, even though he didn't speak to that, AND IT WORKED !!!!!! Very easily, I might add. So YES, this really WORKS !

Thank you! I had written on my whiteboard with a Sharpie by accident. I didn't realize I had done it right away and then got busy and never dealt with it. Like someone else, my whiteboard contained writing which had been there for several years. The hand sanitizer method (same brand as used in the video) worked perfectly. I used kitchen roll instead of microfibre; the result was initially smudged but after a few more wipes, the board was totally clean. Thank you very much indeed.

You can also use a regular eraser to get it off but it will save smudge marks

This all depends on what type of white board you have. After trying this, the thin layer of plastic om board got smothered, now.. Not even whiteboard markers get erased.
