The Eduardo Blanco International Quartet live at the Jacques Pelzer JazzClub in Liege.
We are playing here a kind of obscure song called This Is No Laughing Matter. This song by Buddy Kaye and Al Frisch was played by the Glenn Miller orchestra but get kind of famous when pianist Bud Powell sang it during a concert at The Golden Cirkel in Stockholm. That concert was later released by Steeplechase records. Powell sang it as a very slow ballad, the quartet delivers it in a swinging medium pace.
