Not from this concert but there are albums on the Dreyfuss label with this same combination and, i believe, this same track. One of this albums is called "Live at Olympia".

Thanks ✌🏽 I know and I have the Olympia. It’s just that this version of “My Foolish Heart” is something special. The way Coleman starts the tune. ❤️

Hi - old tenor guy in London here. Top performance from Joe on his Conn, but my god I love the second verse of Kenny's piano break in stride style before the chorus.

These cats are family. Random abstract was the first jazz CD I got 35 years ago. Always liked his approach better than Wynton’s, not that it matters. Would be fun to go back in time and revisit some of the shows, miss the time.

I've been playing harmonica for 55 yrs, lots of credits, etc. what Toots does here is mind-blowing ! His harmonic knowledge and agility to transform a simple melody into a major jazz foray is astounding.

I am not part of crowd-think here so one or 2 of ya'll deleted my post below yesterday. So here it is again. Deal with it civilians: ⏩Joshua has mastered well refined gimmicks at high speed. But his musicality? Not feelin' it. Here are 3 examples of equally high speed players with NO perfunctory squeaks, meaningless octave leaps or other non-musical bullshit: 1> Sonny Rollins kzbin.info/www/bejne/mobSpmyLob-hsJI 2> Lockjaw Davis with Basie kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5-oh6OmnM2lpZY Want more Avant Garde??? 3> Sonny + Don Cherry kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZ_Vnqt3fbuCoZI I applaud JR for his audience & 💲success. But some of us, musicians, KNOW what we're hearing.

I'll guess i'm the only one who can remove your reactions on this post... I didn't do so. In my opinion you have the right to give your opinion. My answer on your comment is: Didn't we all learn the language of jazz by quoting the masters?

The smooth tone he gets from a Hard rubber mouthpiece is tremendous. Most people need a metal mouthpiece for this kind of tone quality. A master of HR mouthpiece. Just loved him making this look easy! It's not!

Great point! I usually associate hard rubber with the Stan Getz kind of sound and metal with Coleman Hawkins but there’s really so much you can do with hard rubber
