I see alot of comments on Gender Norms. My mom was a nursery school teacher 2 to 5 years. She ran the country day school for 40 years. We are going back now into the early 50's. It was normal to let all the boys and girls play with whatever they liked. The favorite part was the dress up center and boys and girls did what they wanted not gender stereotypes Let kids be kids and let them decide the direction they want to go, Its perfectly normal..

They would head straight to this section knowing they could indulge their imaginations without gender stereotype or judgement being imposed

Princess Snowhite I don’t think what they play with determines gender. My son is like Eduardo and love dolls and princesses but he knows he’s a boy. He doesn’t like to shoot guns and play with super hero’s. I just let him play with what he wants but I don’t tell him he’s a girl and I don’t tell him princesses are for girls, I tell him they are toys and he can play with whatever he thinks is fun so that’s what he does.

Awh I got so emotional when Anna started crying. I think it was emotional because Eduardo was gifted things that HE loved (regardless if the items were for the stereotypical “boy” or “girl”). I am a great believer that kids should be able to express there self in things they like even if it gos against the grain of what society thinks as normal it's about having happy well adjusted children and you definitely have that well done xx
