I'm not being mean or saying I don't like her, she's a child! I guess what I am saying is that I feel the same way you do about Alessia but with Eduardo. OMG how cute. I love seeing how grown up Emilia has gotten over the last few months since being in the new house. First her reaction to Alessia not eating the best parts of the croissant with chocolate inside was priceless classic older wiser sibling reaction. Then her feeding Andrea was adorable. Next we get Andrea who hangs on every word and expression Daddy makes, Uber cute. Alessia is starting to get a bit better about Daddy filming her without having to be sneaky about it and hiding the camera or zooming in from across the room. It was awesome for her to stand there right in front of the camera and eating her croissant , watching herself on the camera screen and glancing at Daddy when she gets sassy and decides to show what’s in her mouth and showing daddy that she has chocolate on her top. Love the weekend mornings where everything is more relaxed and little stress because with 4 children who want to eat 4 different things at the same time can get stressful. It makes me appreciate my mom and all she did raising 8 children and various other children who entered our lives and home over the years. Jonathan every child is different and some need more sleep than others, but most children under the age of 5 still need naps or quiet time where they are in bed but they can look at books or play quietly with a couple of toys, no screen time either on an iPad or television (many people have no clue just how much damage the over use of tech devices have on their children and even themselves because it affects their ability to learn and problem solving, and even how they interact with others. There is a lot of new research on this. Even the creators of Apple, Windows, internet etc understood that it was an issue and setup strict rules for their own children that limited their access to them. Cell phones are one of the biggest offenders with regards to the damage they have caused.) Most preschools still have a nap or quiet time each day in the 4-5 year old classrooms. We only stopped having it in kindergarten about 10-11 years ago when the educational system started demanding that the children had to progress and master skills usually reached in first and second grade.

*Anna, please read this:* I've had it rough the past 10 years with depression and anxiety and I always felt like I didn't do something good with my life when really I was just stuck in the past. I was afraid of becoming a mom because of my non existent relationship with my mother, I was afraid to get my life together because of the safety zone I was in and I was horrified to let ANYONE in. Because of your love for your children and husband, your mindset on being organized and healthy and your mental strength I have overcomed my fears. You are my role model and I am ready to settle down and start a family. I've managed to get new friends and I am slowly leaving my safety zone. You and Jonathan are bloody amazing and ILY. Thank you.

More two girls grew out of theirs between 2 and 2 and a half, I then gave them an hour of relax time: tv on or sent up to their room for rest in their bed with books... so gave me 45 mins to breath !! Mine loved their naps but Defo grew out around 2 ish mark. They then needed to go to bed earlier for a few weeks as where falling over with sleep by 6pm! .. people say their kids sleep better at night without naps but I felt mine slept better when getting a naps... But when they grow out there's nothing u can do and I found I got earlier evenings to myself then as I had them in bed and asleep by 7pm ! I did miss those nap times as having 2 year old all day is hard 🤣 but then u know it's short lived as they go to preschool and then u get a break that way !

*Naptimes* My two boys (5&3) still have an hour of quiet time after lunch. They get to pick some toys and books and go into separate rooms to play and look at books for an hour, with the youngest still falling asleep for a nap. The oldest will occasionally fall asleep, maybe once a week, but he isn't a napper anymore. This is something I've been doing with them from the beginning. As a stay at home homeschooling mom with one more kiddo on the way--mama needs "quiet time" too!!!!

The only thing he has employed someone for is plastering the walls so it’s taken much longer than yours will. He does go into his room for quiet time each day. My 2 1/2 year old still naps most days. I’m like you and dread the thought of that time ending 😩😂 It’s very helpful to have that small break in the day! Lastly, Anna, you look great with the French tuck! It definitely adds definition at your waist. You often remind me of what I think the Duchess of Cambridge would be like as a mother and your body types. In the US when I was a kid most kids napped through age 6. Kindergarten classes (5-6 year olds) had a scheduled nap time. Now kindergarteners are expected to do a lot more book work and they don’t nap but preschools (children ages 3-5) have nap time still. Not everyone sleeps. Some kids need less sleep than others, but as long as we can keep everyone quiet the kids who need naps can take them. At the school I used to work at we had a four year old girl who just wouldn’t nap but she was very smart and already reading so we’d just give her a basket of books and tell her to quietly read during nap time. But most four year olds will nap if you put them in a cool dark room and give them a snuggly blanket.

Having worked in private nurseries before, I know the majority of children stop naps somewhere around the 2 1/2 year mark. Some are earlier, and some are a little bit later, but especially if they're going to be attending school from 3 years old, I'd say that's the point to start trying to wean them off :) Though be prepared for the grumpy afternoons when she first drops the naps lol 😅 just another lovely aspect of the 'terrible twos'.

When Alessia was eating the croissant, she looks like to Eduardo in my opinion. ♥ She's so cute when she was making those face expressions ♥

I think Andreas chair should be on the other side of the table, he is twisting his neck trying to follow everyone around the room.

My son will be 3 in May and he still takes a nap daily. He wakes around 8am, naps from about 3pm-5pm and goes to bed at 10. He sleeps all thru the night! I depend on those naps to get things done around the house and for a little me time! Love you guys!!!!!

My daughter is 4 and still naps after her half day of school. She also naps on the weekends. She loves them!

I listened to my 14 month old scream in her bed every day for a week before I gave up on naps. Then she would pass out in her dinner at 6 and sleep straight through until 6 in the morning. It was kind of nice in the evenings, having adult time, but mornings....not so much lol. My early bird demanded to be up and going when the sun rose. :) My son napped off and on until he was 4. He would go a few days and then crash, needing to recharge again. He needed way more sleep than her. I had a daycare for 11 years, and some kids stopped napping quite early while others were like my son and needed to nap for much longer or they were miserable all day!
