Powerful! He's giving voice to concerns I've had for years, particularly in the section on the seven movements/elements. I've always thought the tech optimism was limited and limiting leaving so much out. Thanks Dr. Harvey for opening Marx up for me in this way!

His copy of Capital appears in the form of a well broken in baseball glove.

Lewontin has a very nice desscription of the development of biological thought along side that of mercantilism. I'm not sure he's the first, but ppl usually use chemistry and physics as examples so maybe. But it is wonderful in any case. The book is "Not in Our Genes". the pdf is online somewhere.

Would have loved to hear the last bit of his conversation with the lady who told him about the human trafficking laws and immigration before the video ended.

Does anyone have further reading suggestions on the 7 elements of totality that Harvey unpacks?

There is no such thing as a “Marxist scholar” those terms are mutually exclusive.
