I think Gatto is a good candidate for audiobooks. I’ve only “read” one so far, but I loved it so much that I finished it in one day and started it again the next.

I have a couple thousand books (mostly for homeschool) but I’m also really liking games for extending practice and learning. They work well for my kids so I’ve been stocking up on them. I use shelves in my school room. I use some opaque white bins from Ikea for our card games and smaller boxes to keep things a little less visually chaotic.

I love your idea for organizing all of these educational toys! I have had such a hard time figuring out a good system for them and I’m going to try your way. Between you and Jessica from The Waldock Way, I am loading up on both educational toys and games and books for our next school year!

I love the idea of incorporating more games into my homeschool, especially with my younger kids. I tend to just gravitate toward books because it’s easier. Do you have a video on how you intentionally incorporate more games/educational toys into your homeschool day or tips on how to do this? Or are these mostly used during free play time?

I also love the Calpurnia Tate books, probably the second one the most. Just wish there was a third. I want to know how/if she reached her dreams. The beginner chapter books series is also great.

I have a similar storage system, and I buy "make your own sticker" printer paper to label the boxes for easier searching. When the kids were little I'd print a picture of what was in the bin, but now I just write it with sharpie.

We love learning resources as well!!! My storage system needs improvement. I will try ur idea of organising. I recently bought each of my kids a human body experiment kit as we where learning bout the human body

I’m currently reading Dumbing us down! Lol You do have to be in the right mood. What he says should be read by all people, it’s just hard to hear the truth sometimes. I’m reading it along side Wild and free, so it balances out.

We have Osmo and the only game our son plays is Pizza Co. He makes a mess when playing it and it’s a pain to remove our iPad from the protective cover/stand. For those reasons, I rarely suggest it and our son rarely asks to play anything Osmo. I think we should try it sometime without the app, when practicing making change.

Oh that’s a good idea! Our iPad case is so easy to remove, but I can imagine if it were like My phone case we’d rarely use it as well.

Actually, I do happen to know this one, lol! I was pretty bummed so I looked into it. So many conventions were cancelled on them last minute last year, and it’s a costly undertaking for them, so they decided to just wait til next year and focus on online sales this year.
