Question-how do you “schedule,” gameschooling, or do you? I mean, do you have like one day a week that is just game schooling, or a different subject each day, or completely random? I have tons of games but it seems like we don’t use them near as often as I would like because we are always to busy trying to get through the “work.”

I have loved your gameschooling videos. Some of the games we have used in our school that I don't recall you mentioning are: Bookworm, either card or dice version are both fun word games. Cascadia, is a great game it could be put in the science theme since it's about animals and habitats. Cashflow, is math related. Ecologies, Ecologies: Bizarre Biomes, Ecologies: Hidden Habitats are great. I think they're listed as 12+ but my 6th grader loved them last year. Ecosystem and Ecosystem: Coral Reef we also really enjoyed. Enchanted Plumes isn't really educational, but was a nice addition when we were studying birds. Flourish is a gorgeous garden building game. I loved it as part of our gameschooling, but it's also a great game for game nights. Flamecraft has been a recent addition to our collection. It was a hit. Freedom: The Underground Railroad is a cooperative game that we have been pulling out for part of our history games for a few years already. Habitat Herbaceous and Herbaceous Sprouts are both good. Honey Buzz is a fun one, a bit hard to find, but worth it. Honey Wars Keystone: North America Meadow Trophies is another fun little word game. Onitama is a great chess related game Other games we have enjoyed are Dragonrealm Everdell as well as My Lil Everdell Dog Park

Great list! We find this age to be great for gaming because we have so many options now that they are older. We love all the Genius Games brand games. Genotype is my absolute favorite. We also enjoy Cascadia, Caldera, Spill (a cooperative where you are rescuing animals from an oil spill. Might be right up Emilys alley!) We just ordered Endangered...it has otter meeples! For geography this year we are doing world geo and love the various ticket to ride games for that. We just got Japan/Italy and enjoyed both boards. Evergreen is also fun for a plant theme. Ark Nova is a great one for older kids. I havent played it yet but my older 2 and husband really enjoy it. Wingspan as well for bird theme. We enjoy Azul for critical thinking, Castles of Mad King Ludwig is my favorite game ever and includes some economics, planning, critical thinking, spacial skills and the end result is a really wacky castle. It works really well with 2 people also. Barrenpark is another fun tile laying zoo themed game. Reef is a great logic game. That was sort of a random list as i thought of them, 😂 but at this age range we find it easy to pick up a game and fit it in to a schooly subject❤

A few more I thought of.....Dragon Market is another current favorite for a multi-player logic game, which are harder to find. Also Oregon Trail is surprisingly fun! Pillars of the Earth is great for medieval history, Candygrams is a great one for LA. Draftosaurus and Jurassic Parts for dino fun (I prefer Draftosaurus but my son loves Juraasic Parts). Cartographers is also a great one for geography.

6-7th is middle school here, 8-9th is junior high, then it’s high school. I grew up with 6th being elementary but it seems to be changing in different places
