i had been avoiding playing mercy as my main for a long time (because I didn't want to deal with being yelled at) and was stuck in bronze. your videos convinced me to try playing mercy and i am now slowly climbing and am currently silver 2. I was only bronze 3 three days ago. I watched a few of your guides for mercy and got a little practice and something just clicked for me, mercy just felt right to play, it felt like the character I was meant to play, and then the game became fun to play. i started enjoying the game again. i know you probably wont see this comment but thank you.

There's def some situations where they just... Push in too far when you would win if you didn't do that. You can't do much about it because you can't control it but you can at least call that out to them if you feel okay doing that

I feel like these videos not only show how impressive these players are in characters they specialise in but also show how important it is to be able to play multiple characters. While there were some games that were lost because of bad teammates making stupid mistakes, there were also quite a few games that could've been won had you been able to pick someone else apart from Mercy. I think it really shows how important flexability between characters is in a game like Overwatch

I was stuck in Gold 3-1 on mercy for so long, didn't know what I was doing wrong so i changed my play-style to match skiesti's to the best of my noob mercy abilities. I love playing mercy but it was a hit to the confidence being stuck and unable to climb unless I play Moira. I‘m a new OW player, I just started comp last week, getting Bronze 1 after horrible placements and making it up to Silver 5, then I stopped. I love Mercy but was mostly playing Moira because people kept telling me that Mercy got no value in lower ranks. This video inspired me to play her more and playing around what my team needs - even if it means being the main healer so thank you!

Watching this makes me think i overvalue healing the tank a lot, she rarely heals the tank and trusts the second support, even uf they fail a lot. Also i need to learn letting people die.

That's one of the biggest mistakes Mercy players make or are uncomfortable with doing. Put less value in healing, put more value in DMG boost. Be careful when learning to let people die. It's good to do if you know that no matter what amount of healing you give them, they'll die anyway or if they're overextending or if you'll get more value by trading a teammates life in favor of pocketing to get kills on the enemy

I keep noticing little things like looking in the direction you'll superjump while you're still in GA that I don't do but I'm sure there's tons of little stuff, might be hard to put together though.

Camera movement and perspective is something that I talk about a lot with people when I do coaching stuff. It's a little hard to explain but it's actually IMO really important for Mercy so that's a great suggestion for a video! :>

I know you want to play mercy & this isn’t helpful if you only want to play her but if you can play moira I’m sure it would help you out of bronze😭 Mercy is very hard to rank up on. But if you don’t want to play moira maybe watch your replays and see if there are any areas you can improve on? I found that watching them back can help you find mistakes than you didn’t notice when you were in the game and that can help you improve. I can’t see your gameplay so I can’t help you in that area but I would just say keep playing. You will improve over time. Also keep watching videos like these that give good tips on how to get better. I’m sure you will get out of bronze 5 if you keep trying. Good luck❤

I'm watching this toward the end of 2024 and I think I'm a better mercy player in a lot of ways compared to the 2023 you, but your GA is better. I have like tighter timings and better judgement on revs and stuff. Sitting here going like "come on u couldve just tapped e and let go of space and got a rev or you dont realize the timing of your rev is enough, or dont understand trading your life is going to win you the battle. I think it might be a psychological issue of mercy mains to be super passive and scared of risk. edit: went to go pee and thought about it for a sec, and I think I get it now. Playing extra passive and going for 0 death games messes with the enemy dps judgement. They become obsessed with trying to kill you, thinking you're the issue, and then swap and spend all game trying to kill the mercy that they believe is the problem. They get caught up on it so bad, it loses them the game.
