In this video, we will look at the Flat Elliottwave structure, and we will focus at one type of Flat called the Irregular / Expanded Flat. Flat is a corrective 3 wave structure labelled as ABC. Internally it is a 3-3-5 structure. Wave A is subdivided into 3 waves, wave B is subdivided into 3 waves, and wave C is subdivided into 5 waves. great video! its awesome how at the end of (fucking hard to count 36 combinations of) corrections some kind of divergence tells us, that the bottom is reached. :) question: wave C is 1.618 of wave 1. on wave 1 you did not include the lowest point of A (wick), why not? to make the picture fit better? i always include the wicks but ofc im eager to learn as much as possible! thank you again for this short, clear, precise video and have a great day!

only flaw to elliot wave is it is too subjective. on the first chart you show, wave (b) is clearly 5 waves however you count it as 3 waves for the sake of following flat correction rules. However you can only confirm this in hindsight and not while the move itself is happening in present day.

In an expanded flat how far does the B swing tend to go compared to A, is there a fibonacci number for it?

Wave B should not go too far above the starting point of wave A, or else you should assume it has started the next leg up in a bullish sequence. Wave B when measured as inverse retracement (external retracement) of wave A is typically no more than inverse 23.6%
