Hey As per rule bank charge interest on the amount we have used. Suppose bank sanctions a loan of 30 lakhs (loan period 6 years) but I used 20 lakhs then interest will be on 20 lakhs. But in the beginning the interest is calculated on the whole amount i.e interest on 30 lakhs for 6 years. How it is calculated?

In the case of a secured loan from a government bank, simple interest is charged during the moratorium period (course duration + 6 months/ 1 year) but can be paid after the moratorium period. Interest will be calculated on the amounts that are disbursed to you and not on the entire sanctioned amount. The interest accrued during the moratorium period is later added to the EMIs. If you take an unsecured loan from a private bank/NBFC, you will have to make either full or partial interest payments even during the moratorium period.
