Yes, it can be a bit too descriptive when describing scenes or landscapes, but the inferences you have to make to understand the story makes the book so fun to read. I don’t find it boring, but something exhilarating! This could be a quick read if you were dedicated, probably about a 2 hour read. I don’t know how people find this THAT boring. Kino is fighting people every 2 chapters. Although, the Doctor was pretty useless. All he did was provide a plot honestly. He was never heard from again after chapter 4 I believe..

Holy crap, I'M FINALLY DONE!!! 2 weeks of homework finally finished. Thank you soo much for making these videos to help me and so many other people with our homework. I probably couldn't have done it with out this video. Also I HIGHLY recommend setting the playback speed to 1.25 or 1.5. It boosted my efficiency so much.

Probably they don't like reading itself, or this story was not their taste, or they are just school kids who still don't have the maturity to understand the deepness of this story. I think this book was great, no wonder Steinbeck won Nobel Prize. He has such amazing skill of describing seneries, metaphor, everything! It was so breath taking. Juana is my favorite character.

this book imo was really badly written. I don't really like the fact that the climax of the story was literally in the second to last chapter. Everything before the climax was pointless information that had to significance to anything except for the introduction of the pearl itself.
