Caution- do not use 1. multiple/compound questions Example How do you feel this morning? Did you get enough sleep last night? and enough to eat for breakfast? 2. leading questions - lead the patients towards a particular answer. Example You are not eating well, are you? Clarifying vague statements = Clarifying information that is unclear. Example Sorry I missed what you said that about nervousness……. Could you repeat that please Summarizing information (to encourage connection and invite further information) Example OK, so far as I understand you X, Y and Z….right?
