Task 16 12 steps to crack reading part A in 10 min 1,identify 4 text headings and write down in a piece of paper 2,understand the relationship and sequence among the 4 text headings - description -diagnosis - treatment - prevention 3,skim the 4 texts- heighlight the clues - tile - section heading - sub heading - names (disease,drugs,device etc) -Numbers %/percentage -number/ measurement (kh/litre/ml) - model verb - time expression - sequential expression (first,second, third, finally) - frequency expressions Very (often, rarely,always) -scale - synonyms - classification -methods - cause and effect language - adjectives - negative meanings 4, read the question statement- highlight the hedging words 5,read the question statement and match the text 6,write down the hedging words identified in the questions 7,arrange hedging words into 4 columns 8,confirm 1-7 answers 9,locate the answer 10,write the answer in the answer booklet 11, proof reading 12,fill the self assessment form.
