I don't understand why so many people I know are against tiers 2 and 3 instruction. There is never a sound and definitive answer given when asked. Every student needs to be treated fairly. It's not their fault that they struggle-every child isn't on the same level. Thank you for the video.

Ugh. This is one reason I resigned from teaching... Tiers = Tears.

i'm confused, how can this be a bad thing? Its more individualized instruction, and allows room for growth...being in a "tier" for some time, does not mean they can not learn, move or grow. Just because a student takes more time with something than another, does not mean they are less intelligent or bad at said subject, it just means they need more guidance...This helps those kids get the guidance they require in a healthy way, and its not simply just segregation, because it focuses on select areas in bits at a time. It also allows the students to move around, and work alongside others who are having similar difficulties. In order to succeed, you must accept mistakes as apart of the learning process. I suppose I don't understand what your issue is, can you elaborate ? Thanks :)
