Thanks, Ed. Simple and clear. Also thank you for sharing your experience of using the Yongnuo triggers for the past couple of years. I got a couple of those too. I use them for remote focusing and shutter release plus as the trigger for YN 560 III and IV flashes. Very satisfied with them also so far.

+LongTimeTTFan I resisted using anything but PocketWizards for a long time. Finally tried these awhile back and was pleasantly surprised.

Totally agreed. The YN triggers cost very little, $30 for two. Taking photos of grandchildren and with grandchildren is very handy now. With these triggers, i choose the moment to release the shutter, not have to rely on the camera's timer. I have used these for only 3 months, they have been 100% dependable. Out of the box, nothing else needs to set and they work with the YN flashes perfectly. Thank you again for your video. A big fan of yours. Your explanation is easy to understand. The videos all have demo to show the procedures and outcome. Please keep up the great work.

My question is, those radio works with any yongnuo speedlights?
@duncanmeechan56947 ай бұрын
Drat, you never mentioned how to sync the transmitter to your yongnuo 560iii flash with the built in receiver . Still it’s a good starter and lets me know I can do it 😁👍

Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Flash photography has been quite a challenge for me and these videos help a great deal! I have a question tho and I hope it's not a stupid one but, how can I expose appropriately when the flash is mounted on my camera? Idk if I'm missing something but on the screen, nothing seems to change when I change shutter speed or aperture. What I do is, I turn off the flash, then expose my bg correctly, when I just shoot a few times to propperly expose my subject. It's basically a hit and miss when I set it up for the first time, but I was just wondering if there's a setting I'm missing so I won't have to turn off my flash or trigger every time. Thanks in advance!

I'm using the exact set up with a Nikon Z50, but with an older Yongnuo Speedlite YN467. I have 2 transceivers (RF603N II), but they are not working. I also tried to set the channels inside at different positions and adjusted the sync speed - still no flash. Is it the older speedlight or the camera? Does anyone know??? I'm very frustrated! Thanks!!

Hia, thanks for the great video. Would these work if you have a few different model flashes? Looks like they could be connected to the sync port of a strobe? Thanks

what sucks is that most often, brands only sell transmitter-receiver set and not sold separately. Say you want to use multiple slave flash - means you'll be needing individual receiver for each. if there is a stand-alone receiver being sold it could be a hit and miss purchase bc you won't know if your trigger will match/pair with the receiver. Is there a life hack for this? other question is can i use other flash brand as slave (+receiver) granting that all is operation is manual and no TTL?

Wondering how to, if possible, use these triggers for studio strobes like Alien Bees?
@edverosky7 жыл бұрын
Yes, connect the receiver unit to the AB using a sync cord instead of the flash shoe connection.

How would you use that for multiple lights? Would you have to be another set of triggers?
@naysharivera3 жыл бұрын
buy * another set of triggers?
@edverosky3 жыл бұрын
No. But if the flash units don’t have compatible internal receivers you’d need more receivers. Or you might be able to trigger the other flashes via their own optical sync (ie S1 etc).

Thanks Ed! I did have a question regarding remote shooting. Is there any way to trigger the shutter button remotely once it’s hot shoe has been connected to the transmitter. I have two trigger remotes but since my speed light has a receiver connected to it, I do not need the second remote. Is there anyway I can use the second remote to shoot remotely?

If it's not E-TTL why does it have the Canon Contact Pattern on both ends? Manual Triggers would only need the center Contact!
@edverosky6 жыл бұрын
From what I understand the contacts allow for E-TTL pass through (if you have an E-TTL flash mounted to the transmitter, which is mounted directly to the camera, THAT flash is still connected via E-TTL). However, the transmitters to not transmit E-TTL signals to receivers.

what are the setting on the actual camera menu or does it just read it automatically if you have the flash trigger attached?
@edverosky3 жыл бұрын
It depends on the camera. But with this type of trigger, the camera hot shoe should just work.

Sir I have a camera Nikon D5100 camera . I would like to buy a budjet lens which can give a good blur image (portrait) . Also a good flash for this camera . My current lens is tamron 18- 200 mm ,f 3.5 to 6.3 . It's not giving a good portrait image . So I need your help to choose a best budject portrait lens
@edverosky5 жыл бұрын
If you’re looking for shallow DOF, you might want something that opens up to f/2.8 or wider. 50mm, 85mm or longer. You’ll have to look around for best quality vs price.
@ninjainajar5 жыл бұрын
Try tamron lenses for 70-200 f2.8 and 24-70 f2.8 and Nikon 50mm f1.8G these three lenses can take you far

Hi, Does the transmitter have to be compatible with the camera? Since you are using Canon, does the transmitter have to be Canon-compatible?
@edverosky6 жыл бұрын
Short answer, if you plan on using TTL, it has to be a compatible and so does the flash. If using manual the trigger just has to fire the flash generically.

Yes it has a cable, select camera mode and convert the remote into a camera remote setup. Check about it. It's easy if you have 1 cable
